1. About ZapNow

ZapNow is a powerbank rental service operated in the Netherlands. By using our app and services, you agree to these terms.

2. Service Description

ZapNow provides portable phone chargers (powerbanks) for rent through self-service stations. You rent a powerbank by scanning a station QR code in our app and return it to any ZapNow station.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use ZapNow. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.

4. Account & Authentication

• Your account is linked to your phone number
• You are responsible for keeping your phone and account secure
• Do not share your verification codes with anyone

5. Rental Terms

• A rental starts when a powerbank is dispensed from a station
• The unlock fee of €1.99 is charged immediately (covers first 30 minutes)
• After 30 minutes, additional charges of €1.00 per started hour apply
• The maximum daily charge is €6.99 (including unlock fee for the first day)
• Maximum rental period is 48 hours
• If a powerbank is not returned within 48 hours, a non-return fee of €29.99 is charged
• Returns are accepted at any ZapNow station

6. Payments

• A valid payment method (credit card, debit card, or iDEAL) must be added before renting
• The unlock fee is charged when the rental starts
• Additional charges are processed when the powerbank is returned
• All prices include VAT (BTW)
• Receipts are available in the app under Rental History

7. Your Responsibilities

• Handle the powerbank with reasonable care
• Do not disassemble, modify, or damage the powerbank
• Return the powerbank in the condition you received it
• Do not use the powerbank near water or in extreme temperatures

8. Liability

• ZapNow is not liable for damage to your device caused by the powerbank, except in cases of proven manufacturing defects
• ZapNow is not liable for data loss or indirect damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant rental

9. Service Availability

• We aim to keep stations operational 24/7 but do not guarantee availability
• Stations may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance
• We may modify or discontinue the service with reasonable notice

10. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time by contacting support
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms
• Outstanding charges remain due after termination

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or SMS. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be resolved by the Rechtbank Oost-Brabant, locatie Eindhoven.
